'Re-Inventing Shoes' is a project, conceived by United Nude, that aims to explore the usefulness of 3D printing in the world of shoe design and manufacturing. The project called on world-renowned designers and architects including Zaha Hadid to come up with 3D-printed high heel designs.
All the pieces in Re-Inventing Shoes were crafted using Selective Laser Sintering technology, and blend hard nylon and a soft rubber-like material.
These heels admittedly look pretty 'out there', some of them not even looking like footwear at all. However, all the shoes are fully functional and are even available for purchase in a limited run of 50 for an as-yet-undetermined price. These heels are as avant-garde as they get, and will surely captivate and confuse onlookers.
