Studio Rens Created the Re-Glow Collection of Furniture

Eindhoven-based firm Studio Rens has launched the Re-Glow collection comprised of blocky furniture and homeware items. All of the pieces are adorned with reconfigurable magnetic tiles and it was presented to the public during Dutch Design Week. The capsule is comprised of three designs which are made in collaboration with Dutch ceramics firm Cor-Unum. All of the products have a steel skeleton that is finished in custom handmade tiles held by magnets.

The co-founder of Studio Rens, Renee Mennen speaks about the design process to Dezeen, sharing "The magnets click into a system so that you can build whatever you want. "We push and pull glaze over the tiles so that each one is unique. The furniture merges functionality with a striking visual presence." One of the main pieces in the collection is Big Dining -- this is a dining table at a low-slung silhouette adorned with geometric structures and patterns that reflect paint-like strokes.
