Reggie the Eco Rocker is the latest cool product from London-based designer Shell Thomas. Reggie is made entirely from 100% recyclable Dufaylite Ultra Board, is completely sustainable and blows the traditional children's treasure out of the water with a minimalist, chic look. He arrives flat-packed, easily slotted and assembled and ready to be brought to life with paint, crayon and glitter by budding young creatives.
Shell draws from a diverse palette of sustainable materials to create wonderful objects and products; adopting traditional and modern processes to achieve a union of textures and colours in often playful applications.
Reggie the Eco Rocker is currently being exhibited in Design Futures at Decoration + Design in Melbourne and recently won a Product Innovation award at the Not On The High Street Make Awards 2011. This toy is strong, functional, playful, chic, totally sustainable and shows what can be achieved with just one sheet of recyclable board. Think POS, signage, furniture, exhibition stands -- it doesn't matter if it's for a lifetime product or a temporary application because it's recyclable.
