New York Fashion Week paid tribute to the classic story, The Wizard of Oz by assembling a collection of red shoes. The red shoe collection is being recreated at the Hong Kong shoe store On Pedder. 17 international designers participated in what is called The Kansas Project, working with the Warner Brothers producers of the original film.
Implications - Hip designers who are working with the project include Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, Sergio Rossi and Giuseppe Zanotti. The red collection of shoes are going to be put on display for the public from November 21 to December 7, 2008. A silent auction will take place with all proceeds going towards the Hong Kong Cancer Fund.
