Real Life Emojis

This Artist Recreates & Photographs Text Message Emojis Using Real Objects

Australia-based graphic designer Peechaya Burroughs has created real life emoji images that perfectly resemble the cartoon characters and icons found in the text-based language of cellphones.

Each image is creatively redesigned using real objects and placed on a white background to look like a text messaging screen. Her vast collection includes images such as an egg being cooked in a frying pan. Instead of using the real objects like an actual egg she designs the images to look like the animated versions. In the case of the egg, this artist uses a wonky shaped white circle and then places a yellow balloon in the center to act as the yolk.

Her artwork is displayed primarily through social media and more specifically through her Instagram page that is continuously expanding with more images.
