Using materials to which craftsmen have had access throughout the history of the human race, the Raw Clock still manages to exude a contemporary character. The fresh-faced chronograph is made of a round piece of wood and a strip of animal hide, combined to produce a rustic, yet refined, quality.
Stanley Ruiz took advantage of CNC milling technology to engrave the timber dial with the numbers 3, 6, 9 and 12, as well as eight other dots in the spaces between them. A perfectly circular border was also incised as an outline to the face, increasing the crispness of the wall clock's appearance.
Striving to avoid the often-frustrating keyhole mounting system, the designer fastened a long leather strap to the Raw Clock. This makes it easier to hang and quite handsome to behold.
