NOriki Okada designed a new Randoseru, which is a leather backpack that is used by Japanese school children specifically designed to last long periods of time. This version is not particularly for kids as it is made carefully by hand and intricately crafted with inspiration from the traditions of samurai.
It is adorned in a palette of black, red, and yellow details that nod back to the 11th century. Okada, a leather craftsman created the bag from scrap items collected from other bags and there are accents including the small leather plates and brass rivets. On the sides of the bags are also some faces of oni demons to continue adding to the overarching theme.
