Shift Architecture Urbanism has re-created this rainbow pavilion based on a design constructed from 1990. The pavilion titled CMY stands for cyan, magenta and yellow.
The pretty rainbow pavilion is placed in a park near a bus stop. The location allows it to be a functioning piece of art. The beautiful colors create a sense of play and fun while it also provides a place to stand for those waiting for a bus or simply a shelter from rain, the sun or the wind. The structure sits on a slightly upward angled slant and has two entrances. One entrance is at the bottom of the ramp and the other is at the top, and this one requires a ladder.
The translucent colored film cascades light hues of each rainbow color like cyan, magenta, yellow, red and green creating a whimsical aurora.
