Audi is set to release their supersonic Starwars-esq looking race car called the R18 E-Tron Quattro. The car is equipped with a V6 TDI mid-engine and an e-Quattro hybrid system. Installed with electric turbocharger within the internal engine, this vehicle has been updated to meet new technical regulations and is designed for maximum efficiency.
Power isn’t the only noteworthy aspect behind this car; the R-18 also features laser vision technology. The LED headlights feature blue laser beams that are more practical than cool. According to Audi Motorsports, "this new light source provides even more homogenous lighting of the road." Audi uses their wicked set of laser lights as a practical safety feature. The R-18 is the first of its kind to use laser lights. Audi says that these lights offer new possibilities during the production of future everyday driving models.
