Condensed News Shows

The Quibi Streaming Service Will Release a Shortened Version of 60 Minutes

The Quibi streaming service has partnered with CBS News in order to create a show inspired by 60 Minutes. However, instead of the full hour-long show, the Quibi streaming service will release "60 in 6," which will be a shortened version that runs for six minutes and is ideally suited for mobile viewers.

The 60 Minutes executive producer Bill Owens spoke about the new show, "This is a perfect opportunity to bring 60 Minutes’ style of storytelling, in-depth reporting, and investigative journalism to a new audience,". Quibi also expressed excitement for getting 60 Minutes to bring content to the platform. Jeffrey Katzenberg, Founder and Chairman of the Board for Quibi referred to 60 Minutes as the "gold standard of storytelling news journalism,".
