QuakeCon 2023 is returning to an in-person event for the first time in three years, with the last in-person QuakeCon being held in 2019. Disruptions due to the CoVid-19 pandemic resulted in online celebrations for QuakeCon, involving tournaments over netplay, announcements via a live stream, and panels done through dedicated live streams. Now, players will be able to enjoy the QuakeCon festivities in person once again.
QuakeCon 2023 is a BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) event, so fans will not be able to rent computers at the venue in order to participate in gaming events and tournaments. There are three tiers of ticket for the event retailing for $75, $200, and $400, respectively. The $75 tier includes a ticket, a LAN tournament seat, and access to all events, while the $200 ticket offers these same perks with an additional exclusive mug and priority seat selection. Lastly, the $400 elite ticket includes a number of accommodations, such as priority access to all events, early check-in for the convention, a more comfortable seat, a personalized jersey, and unlimited drink refills.
