The QromaScan is a simple scanning contraption which will make it easier then ever for you to finally get around to digitizing and organizing old photographs that you left isolated in your basement for far too long. The system, currently the subject of a Kickstarter campaign, brings together the voice recognition and camera of an iPhone with a green-screen lightbox that makes it easy to produce digital versions of printed photos.
Printed photos are placed into the lightbox while an iPhone running the companion app is positioned on top. The photo is illuminated using a dozen cool white LED lights. Voice recognition is used to tag images with metadata, so you can 'narrate' metadata while the camera is taking a photo, making it incredibly easy to organize your photos digitally.
