It's hard to remember to unplug electronic devices after being used, which is why designers Seong Soyeon, Kim Seonmi, Lee Jeongjae, Park Jihye and Lee Yeontaek created The PumPing Tap. This smart plug has a system that allows it to unplugged by itself when appliances are turn off.
This eco-friendly socket has a spring inside it that causes the plug to eject after 10 minutes of the device being off. When the light on the socket is green, it signals that the electric machine is on, but when it's red, it means that the gadget has been switched off but it hasn't been unplugged. This modern plug will help households and offices to conserve electricity.
The PumPing Tap is part of a new revolution of sockets that raises awareness of energy wasting. This magnificent product was a 2011 Red Dot Design concept winner.
