Chain-Clad Retail Concepts

Meet Brand Enthusiasts at The Puma Social Club

Designed by architects EDIT! and student designer Tereza Komarkova, the Puma Social Club in Prague is surging in rugged, industrial details. The showroom features bags and shoes suspended from the ceiling using a series of chains and spokes.

Komarkova was inspired by the cloak rooms used by coal miners working in the Czech city of Ostrava. Workers would air out their clothes on hanging chains, providing the visual concept for the store's main focal point. The Puma Social Club serves to provide not only an exceptional retail experience, but to also function as a meeting space and cafe. The space is full of eye-catching details such as the climbing shoe box installation and the entangled chain tree structure.

The chains not only serve a visual purpose, but also allow employees to quickly change up the room for special events. The Puma Social Club brings streetwear enthusiasts together through an offbeat retail experience.
