Giles Miller and Forbes Massive Visualize a Stunning Cone-Shaped Sculpture

Famed London-based designer Giles Miller and visualizing studio Forbes Massive work together to create a visual conceptualization of a slate-shingled hideaway design. The project bears the name 'Conduit,' which is derived from the "cone-shaped wooden structure [that is] covered in hundreds of slate shingles, backed with plywood."

Described as "experiment in space definition," the installation explores the relationships between open concepts and secluded hideaways, simultaneously placing the individual somewhere in between. Giles Miller has designed the public artwork to be engaging and interactive, as well. Toward the front of the sculpture, the shingles are fewer and movable, opening up the possibility for individuals to play around with them and opt for a cocooned hideaway or one that permits light into its interior.
