Project Debater was recently shown at a small event in San Francisco, in which it went head-to-head against two humans. While Project Debater lost against its first competitor, Noa Ovadia, it did manage to defeat its second opponent Dan Zafrir. To formulate its argument, Project Debater was given a collection of 300 million news articles and scholarly papers, all of which were previously indexed for quick search results.
