The Pringle of Scotland Pre-Fall 2012 collection is creative director and head designer Alistair Carr's third collection for the Scottish label and it is certainly a head-turned (or perhaps a head-scratcher, depending on your take on mixing prints and patterns).
Maintaining Pringle's signature argyle pattern, cashmere sweaters and chunky knits, Carr presents a collection that features all three defining elements all at once.
Alistair Carr tells Style.com, "I looked at the classic knit pieces in the archives and wanted to twist things up a bit—so I did: I just twisted it." Seams on clothing and sweaters have been literally twisted, and he took the classic argyle print and made it bigger and bolder by adding colored crystals.
The Pringle of Scotland Pre-Fall 2012 collection is definitely not meant for wallflowers, but for those who like to take a more forward approach to fashion, this one is sure to be a hit.
