Coffee Cup Stockings

Pretty Polly's Java-Inspired Legwear Packaging Uses To-Go Cups

Pretty Polly has come up with a steaming new idea to package its tights by fashion fave House of Holland. The tights will be sold in takeaway coffee cups marked with the words "Caution Hot Tights."

The hosiery is being sold exclusively by swanky UK department store Selfridges—which celebrates its centenary this year—and was designed by House of Holland’s Henry Holland, the designer best friend of uber-model Agyness Deyn.

The packaging was designed by London advertising agency Beattie McGuinness Bungay.

Gail Newport, the marketing manager at Pretty Polly, said, "When Pretty Polly signed with Henry Holland we wanted to create packaging for the product that was both quirky and eye-catching to reflect Henry’s unique design style. The resulting ‘coffee cup’ container plays on the concept of a ‘pick-me up’ product and also looks great on the shop floor."
