The Presidential election results will shine far and wide for all New Yorkers to see, as the Empire State Building will be lit up with LED lights to track the latest developments. Standing at 1,454 feet tall, the Empire State Building is New York’s second highest building (second to One World Trade Center) and will feature two verticle bars of light, one in red representing the Republican candidate Mitt Romney and one in blue representing the Democratic candidate Barack Obama.
This project is in collaboration with CNN, who will be recording the light show from atop a nearby building. Once the network projects the presidential election results, the LED lights will change to either all blue or all red.
