Burn calories and generate power with Ideso’s award winning PowerPac 'Pedal Power.' Recipient of Red Dot’s ‘Best of the Best 2012’ Design Award, the PowerPac Pedal Power gathers energy created by the rotation of a bike’s rear wheel. It is placed beneath the tire and captures the energy produced while riding. The energy is then stored in a removable unit which can be used as a mobile charging device.
The average 80 minute bike ride would fully charge the battery if it were dead. That charge, which is 132 W, could be used to charge a smartphone, power a computer or light fixture or operate a power tool. The PowerPac comes from South Africa-based design consultation company Ideso and beat ideas from 58 countries to win Red Dot’s award latest design award.
Now boasting more leverage than ever, Ideso is seeking investors in order to take the PowerPac Pedal Power to the next level – mass production.
