Urban chicken farmers have something to crow about. It’s an American-made, full-featured, all-season chicken coop capable of housing up to 6 chickens. It’s called the ‘Poultry Pod.’
The paintable pod shell is made of an insulating, recyclable, UV-resistant, flame-retardant polypropylene plastic. It has all the features that an urban chicken could want: all season venting, ramp, nest doors and roost. The no-tools-required unit is roughly 2’x4’ fully assembled and weighs less than 20 lbs.
While it may not be the most artsy of urban coops, at $150, the Poultry Pod is an affordable durable shelter for chickens without a roost.
