Kiron Cheerla Architecture Designs the Pott House

Italian design studio Kiron Cheerla Architecture finishes the Pott House which is a home located in Hyderabad. It is defined by its lantern-style roof which opens up to invite natural light and ventilation into the interiors. The Pott House takes over half of the garden plot which allowed the studio to create a lightweight gridded structure. The home's ground floor has full-height living and dining areas in the middle.

Founder of the studio Kiron Cheerla speaks to Dezeen about the design, stating "The design of the house was heavily influenced by the chosen wooden structural system, maintaining a single-story base with a smaller first-floor level. We strategically incorporated north-facing clerestory windows and skylights at the structure's peak to promote natural ventilation, enable passive cooling and achieve a desired aesthetic effect."
