Speedy Street-Legal Luxury Cars

The Porsche GT3 RS 4.0 Offers Consumers a Taste of Racecar Life

The new limited edition Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 should immediately rocket to the top of the list of any car-shopping speed demon. Announced last week, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 has the biggest 911 engine ever.

The car is a street-legal version of their GT3 RSR racecar and boasts some of the amenities usually only reserved for racecars – air deflection vanes on the front bumper, which increase aerodynamics, a large air rear wing and a central twin air pipe. It sports lightweight carbon fiber sport bucket seats, a luggage compartment lid, fiber front fenders and a weight-optimized carpet.

The Porsche 911 GT3 4.0 will retail for $185,000 and is expected to go on sale in late 2011.
