The Pop Up Chapel Competition Hosted 24 Free Same-Sex Weddings

It is only natural that the city of New York is finding it difficult to keep up with the number of gay weddings taking place this summer, but thanks to the Pop Up Chapel competition, New York was able to find some assistance this past weekend.

Sponsored by the wedding planning site The Knot and launched by Architizer, the Pop Up Chapel competition was put together to celebrate the recent legalization of same-sex marriages in this booming metropolis. Crowning two winners, Z-A Studio and ICRAVE, these makeshift wedding sites were built for one day at Merchants’ Gate in Central Park. Dubbed Kiss and Pop Up Chapel respectively, these chapels hosted 24 free gay nuptials, to the delight of New York citizens everywhere.
