Ten public benches were created to celebrate the 2010 London Design Festival as well as the launch of The Lollipop Shoppe and the Pop Rivet Bench was one of them. A simple design, it is nonetheless incredibly sophisticated as well -- having much to do with its pure white aesthetic.
Designed by Swedish architects TAF, the Pop Rivet Bench is made out of aluminum sheets. Inspired by the antique Swedish Bentwood boxes for keeping butter, it is named for the use of pop rivets to meld the sheets together instead of the traditional lace.
