Italian homeware company Alessi works in collaboration with designer Phillippe Starck on the new Poêle Collection which is inspired by the look of a frying pan. The capsule was unveiled during Milan Design Week and it is made up of a chair, a low stool, a high stool, and a coat stand.
Starck explains that "The Poêle Chair started as a serious joke, with a sketch of a pan with legs and the great idea of adapting an existing high-technology to different purposes. The seat and back are inspired by a frying pan, with legs as handles, the Poêle Chair elegantly incarnates the most beautiful symptoms of human intelligence: humour and technology. Very much like my relationship to Alberto and Alessi."
