To bring some joy and relief to children of Tohoku, the railway company JR East has designed a Pokemon train.
As Tohoku was devastatingly affected by a 2011 tsunami, this train offers people who are still dealing with the aftermath an escape from their troubles, even if it's just for awhile. The locomotive is called the 'Pokemon with YOU train' and on February 8th, 9th and 11th it traveled between Narutō and Chōshi.
The exterior of the Pokemon train will automatically grab children's attention as it's brightly decorated with favorite Pokemon characters like Pikachu. This fun and playful train was designed to hold 46 passengers and inside kids will find a playroom filled with toys they won't be able to wait to get their hands on.
