Nintendo Announced 'Pokemon Legends Z-A' Based in Gen 5 Lumiose City

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a new video game that will take players to Lumiose City, the setting of Pokémon X and Y. The game is a spin-off of the Pokémon Legends series, which explores the origins of the Pokémon world in different regions. Pokémon Legends: Z-A will feature an urban redevelopment plan that aims to create a harmonious environment for both people and Pokémon. The game will also introduce "immersive cards," a new way to experience the Pokémon Trading Card Game in a digital format.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is expected to launch worldwide in 2025, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. The game is being developed by Game Freak, the studio behind the mainline Pokémon games. The game will be compatible with Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, a new app that will allow players to collect and trade digital cards, including immersive cards. Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket will be available later in 2024 for iOS and Android devices.
