The Poke Stool is deceptively simple. While a single one may sport a stereotypical silhouette complete with four legs and a round seat, in the presence of other Poke Stools anything becomes possible. Incredibly versatile, the Poke Stool has been drilled to have holes outlining the perimeter of the seat. These holes are just big enough to fit the peg legs of other stools in them.
Designed by Kyuhyung Cho, a typography designer based in Stockholm, Sweden, the Poke Stool can be slotted with others to become higher, longer and even playful sculptures. It essentially illustrates the idea that forces are more powerful together than apart. According to Cho's website, "The inspiration was to develop furniture for adults but keep a spirit of child like play in the form and function."
