Supreme's Newest Collab Revives the 'Plia' Chair from the 1960s

New York-based streetwear label Supreme has officially unveiled its latest collaborative piece, the 'Plia' folding chair designed by Anonima Castelli. The unconventional offering draws direct inspiration from Anonima Castelli's 60s-era Plia chair design, which was first introduced in the 1960s.

Accordingly, Supreme's new chair utilizes a combination of plastic, steel, and transparent polypropylene frame -- all materials commonly used in the 1960s. Differing from the original, Supreme's version comes with the brand's signature bright red paint job and "Supreme" white lettering.

The new Plia chair comes following a series of other unconventional Supreme collabs, including the Supreme x Airstream trailer, which made headlines a few weeks back. For those interested, the Supreme Plia chair is now available to purchase on the company's website.
