Google is launching a rewards program for Google Play users called Play Points. Play Points was initially released in Japan in 2018. United States users will see be able to sign up for the rewards program, which is exclusive to Android devices.
The program sends users points based on how much money they spend on the Google Play platform. Play Points has four different tiers that users will be grouped into. All of the different tiers have different benefits that consumers can access. The platinum tier gives consumers 1.4 points for each dollar spent on the platform. Consumers will have to continue spending habits on the platform to maintain tier levels.
