A plant pot wall is surely a desirable and much-welcomed feature for the aesthetic of the interior environment. However, architectural practice MVRDV, who worked closely with Van Boven Architecten, utilized this element of design in a very interesting way, transporting it from the interior to the exterior. The project bears the name of 'Green Villa.' It is located in Sint-Michielsgestel, the Netherlands and was commissioned by property developed Stein.
The silhouette of the building is three-storeys. Its most defining feature will be the plant pot wall that MVRDV plans to install. This will contribute to the aesthetic of the urban environment as architects have been pushing for more greenery and less concrete. The distribution and presentation of the "potted plants, bushes, and trees" will be sporadic and asymmetrical, contributing to a more playful dynamic.
