In a number of different ways, this plant packaging concept would appeal to adults and children alike, making nutritional and sustainable practices accessible and fun. Designed for a school project by Andrea Ribera, Maria Fernanda Peña and Cristina Castells, this product idea can positively influence a number of industries.
The main concept of the 'Grow with Me' line is to provide the seeds, soil and simple instructions for kids and their parents to grow legumes at home. Directions are printed directly onto the boxes, which can double as tiny planters, reducing potential material waste. Once the organic lentils, green peas, chickpeas, white beans or broad beans have been sown, cultivated and harvested, the biodegradable plant packaging can be composted and the wholesome legumes can contribute to a healthy family diet.
