As a means to increase awareness for its products and make consumers more interested in buying its product over competitors, the Pizza Hut box was musically reimagined.
Claiming the title as the "world's first playable DJ pizza box," the company enlisted the talents of Novalia, an electronics specialist, to rig the cardboard to connect to a computer or smartphone with Bluetooth. With this, consumers are able to use the resulting battery-powered Pizza Hut box to change the composition of music by controlling its buttons and touch-sensitive surface.
In order to promote the use of the new Pizza Hut box, DJ Vectra joined the company to show consumers how they could "scratch, rewind, control pitch and crossfade." As a means to generate even more excitement among consumers, the company will only give away a limited amount from five of its UK restaurants, making the DJ pizza boxes all the more valuable.
