In Situ & Partners Turns to a Minimal Design Aesthetic

In Situ & Partners is an international architecture and interior design studio and its recent project is a premium pied-à-terre that overlooks the bustling city of Hong Kong. The design draws elements of Japanese design for inspiration with an elevated elegance and minimal aesthetic. Yacine Bensalem, principal at In Situ & Partners explains that "The ‘less is more’ approach of Japanese design was our guideline for this project."

The team created a space that measures over 2,000 square feet and the apartment evokes a sense of tranquility once guests enter. The main focus is the main living space shaped like a 'T' and the traditional tatami tea room. The space is defined by warm wooden touches and a touch of cultural contrast wth the infusion of European design objects.
