Graphic Packaging International (GPI) has teamed up with Picadeli to develop an innovative series of plastic-free paperboard lids. These novel lids represent an eco-friendly alternative, as they are recyclable within household paper waste streams. Intended for the brand's paper salad bowls, the lids are designed to withstand chilled and moisture-rich environments.
The newly designed paperboard lids come with an enhanced snap closure system, offering an upgraded solution compared to Picadeli's previous offerings. The materials used are also manufactured from plant-based fibers derived from renewable sources.
"We value the health of our planet as much as we value healthy eating. We are committed to preserving as many of our planet’s precious resources as possible and producing high-quality, functional packaging for our consumers to enjoy," said Henrik Åkerman, head of sourcing and supply chain at Picadeli.
