Musicians and video game fanatics will get a kick out of this piano controller that has been customized to play the classic video game 'Doom.' While there is limited information on this unique piece of equipment, the piano appears to have been converted at the Virgin Media Game Space.
The piano keys seem to be mapped on opposite sides to control the strafe and action controls. These are then wired to trigger the same functions on perhaps a regular keyboard. A small LCD screen seems to be installed where one would typically find sheet music -- but this is much more exciting. Apparently, the actual functions of the piano also work, so you can play a Mozart while gaming.
The next time you get nagged to play the piano, be sure to have one of these rigged up in the living room.
