The Carlsbad, California startup company spent the past nine years developing the technology that will enable your smartphone to project holograms.
Giant screens will also be able to show crisp videos with this chip. Unlike bulkier technology currently used to create similar effects, this chip-powered phone projector is approximately the size of a Tic Tac. The computer chip is small enough to fit into a smartphone device, while a patchwork of chips can create bigger images.
Impressively, this chip can control the angle, brightness and color of every light beam across 1 million pixels as well.
