The new Phillips DesignLine series of televisions aims to be a more subtle and suave way of watching television.
The impressive screens aim to set themselves apart from the multitude of screens on the market by being practically invisible when the screen is turned off. The Phillips DesignLine screens have no frame, no stand and essentially looks like a pane of glass that is designed to lean against a wall. When turned on, the screen is everything you'd expect from a modern TV, including 1080p 3D capabilities and WiFi for home network access. The remote also has a built in keyboard and mouse for web and YouTube surfing. The TV also has a feature called 'Ambilight' that projects similar colors onto the wall relative what is on the screen. It remains to be seen how subtle the TV is when a user connects all sorts of cables to the back, but it's undeniable that on it's own, the Phillips DesignLine TVs are a thing of design beauty.
