Trend Hunter had the pleasure of sitting down and chatting with chairman and founder Phil Harkins of Linkage Inc. about the institution's one-of-a-kind leadership developmental training program. Linkage's services are designed to go beyond the teachings of a conventional conference with its institutional structure.
Harkins put Linkage together after reading in grad school that there were more leadership education occurring within companies than in schools. To bridge this gap Harkins put together Linkage to make education, guidance and mentoring much more widely accessible. To date, Linkage has extremely successful leadership developmental services operating in dozens of countries spanning all major continents.
Taking the initiative one step further, Harkins is also currently working on a new, separate project entitled The World Purpose Forum that focuses on individuals discovering and cultivating their purpose. "Purpose is the fundamental core of why people wake up in the morning," says Harkins. The World Purpose Forum will tap into that need by being a place that brings individuals together with group workshops and continual coaching. Unlike other organizations, The World Purpose Forum is open to anyone from Millennials to veterans.
