Expanding Children's Clothing

The Petit Pli Line Grows With Kids

Petit Pli is a line of children's clothing designed to last longer, saving parents money, reducing the clothing industry's impact on the environment, and saving kids from having to adjust to new clothing every few months. The collection is part of Ryan Mario Yasin's graduate project for the Royal College of Art, and it consists of clothing with a pleated structure that stretches to remain a comfortable fit even after kids hit growth spurts.

Petit Pli was inspired by Yasin's own experience. For his nephew's birthday, he shipped the toddler some new clothes. By the time those clothes arrived at their destination, they no longer fit the tyke. to avoid more dud gifts in the future, Yasin designed Petit Pli with permanent folds that stretch like an accordion in kind with the child.
