Flower deliveries is a service that has been around for ages without much innovation other than possibly experimenting with arrangements; but that is all about to change thanks to Petal by Pedal. Petal by Pedal is a company that delivers their bouquets by bike. More than that, however, they focus on offering only seasonal flowers from local farmers, which is doubly admirable.
Founded by Long Island native Kate Gilman, Petal by Pedal is meant to connect customers with the farmers who provide the beautiful bouquets. She says, "The bouquets I was getting at the Greenmarket in Union Square were incredible—straight from the farmer, lasting twice as long. And I thought, there should be a way that people can buy locally grown flowers without having to go in-person on your weekend time off."
