Interactive Pet Monitors

Petcube's 'Bite' and 'Play' Lets Consumers Remotely Interact with Pets

Pet owners with full-time jobs often have mixed feelings about leaving their animals alone at home all day -- be it because they feel bad for their pet's lack of stimulation or because they don't trust their pets to behave -- so remotely accessible pet monitors are a great solution. With just a Wi-Fi connection and a smartphone, pet monitors can record pets at home, allowing owners to keep tabs. Now, Petcube, a San Francisco start-up, is making pet monitors even more interactive by including feeding and playing features.

Petcube has two products, the 'Play' and the 'Bite.' Though each are equipped with the same video capabilities and app interface, they differ in how they let consumers interact with their pets. The Play comes with one of a cat's favorite toys, a laser pointer, that can be controlled via the app to keep a kitty company. The Bite, on the other hand, is also a remote-controlled feeder that can deliver treats to any pet.

Pet owners love their animals like family, and they're willing to go to great lengths to keep those furry family members as happy as possible.
