This is a fantastic public art installation entitled 'Room for Forced Perspective' situated in Catskills Forest Preserve in New York. What a wonderful view of the forest--where the viewer becomes part of the work.
The artist, Michael Clyde Johnson, is young (an MA candidate of Fine Art) but has already had his work exhibited in Omaha, Lincoln and Kearney, Nebraska prior to this installation in New York.
I love the way the audience becomes part of the work. It looks like a room that could just float into space as it gets smaller and smaller at one end. What a great way to interact with nature.
I bet children love it too, as you can be inside it, outside it or look through it for hours. Let's have more art like this in public spaces, please!
