Green Guitar Landscapes

Pedro Martin Ureta's Unique Tribute Memoralizes a Great Love Lost

Only a great love could have inspired Pedro Martin Ureta to create a landscape modeled after a guitar. That is exactly what motivated this Argentine farmer, yet it wasn't a love for farming that spurred this amazing undertaking, nor was it a love for music and guitars. Instead, it was a love for his late wife Graciela Yraizoz.

Pedro Martin Ureta embedded the design into his farm many years ago, just after his wife passed away due to a ruptured cerebral aneurysm. Since then, roughly 7,000 cypress and eucalyptus trees have grown into this magnificent shape, stretching more than two-thirds of a mile long.

Pedro Martin Ureta created this giant green guitar because his wife once expressed wanting something like it when she flew over what looked like a milking pail long ago.
