Atelier du Pont Completes the Pavilion Jardins Building

French design studio Atelier du Pont has completed the Pavilion Jardins building, which is an office space that is developed for the operating teams in Paris' Parc e la Villette. The structure is defined by its exposed gridded frame made with timber materials which continues a woodland feel to the interior spaces as well. It was developed to replace what once was a cluster of nine prefabricated buildings.

The studio shares the design concept with Dezeen, stating "The main idea was to design a pavilion that would be part of the history of the Parc de la Villette and its follies, and would offer a total immersion in nature and the landscape from the interior. Wooden construction was an obvious choice because of its direct relationship with nature and the ease with which it can be used on very sensitive sites."
