On his Behance page, Paul Hollingworth describes himself as a "graphic designer, photographer and illustrator rolled into one bundle." Judging by his recent work, titled, 'We Love To Build,' this is an apt description.
'We Love To Build' depicts buildings in various unusual ways. For instance, in a few frames, the constructions are shown cut up into block-like segments that float in the air like concrete clouds. In others, Hollingworth simply photographs some common, everyday scenes, like the underpass of a bridge, and places a picture of one of his buildings there.
Most of the imagery is drawn from photographs, thereby adding a level of realism to otherwise surreal scenes. In this way, these photo manipulations demonstrate how architecture itself is a manipulation of natural environments, which is fitting as Hollingworth's work is featured in the Gestalten book, 'Playing with Architecture.'
