Hadid's Park & Plaza Design Will Increase Cultural Vibrancy in Seoul

As a scheme to cater to the Korean community, the Seoul Metropolitan Government has enlisted architect and designer Zaha Hadid in constructing Seoul's state of the art, Dongdaemun Design Park & Plaza (DDP.)

The project was conceived to inject a sense of liveliness to the cultural hub by creating five spaces that include a design lab, an art gallery hall, a museum, a design market and a history and culture park.

The center will be a recreational facility that intends to cater, not only to the Korean public but to the international stage that will host high-profile and global events. Within the area, there will be 60 different spaces for different recreational activities and functions. The park is set to open on the 21st of March, 2014.
