Paranoia-Preventing Platforms

The SlowMo App Helps Users Fight Off Needlessly Paranoid Thoughts

A recent study carried out by King's College as part of an academic collaboration with University College London ascertained that paranoid thoughts are a growing and widespread problem among residents of the city of London.

In order to combat this problem, the Psychosis Research Partnership based at King's College decided to go ahead and team up with the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design at the Royal College of Art to develop a smartphone app that is designed to help alleviate paranoid thoughts.

Dubbed 'SlowMo', the app is designed to help users visualize their paranoia-based worries. Once a user identifies what paranoid thought is plaguing them, the app works to calm them down by slowing down their thought process whilst also offering advice on how to cope with paranoia.

Paranoid thoughts are partially a byproduct of demanding city life, something Londoners know better than most. By helping identify and cope with paranoid thoughts, the SlowMo app works to improve mental health and overall quality of life.
