Paramodelic-Graffiti is an installation by Yasuhiko Hayashi and Yûsuke Nakano that induces a dizzying effect on viewers due to the psychedelic nature of the artwork.
The duo has transformed a room at the University of Michigan Museum of Art into a train track and train toy smorgasbord. However, the items do not just take up the floor, but the walls and ceiling too. Everything is also done with bright contrasting colors so that one is presented with a visual overload upon walking into the room. The artists have also played with the terrain and texture of the installation, adding in mountainous areas in parts and valleys in others.
For an installation consisting mostly of childhood toys, Paramodelic-Graffiti offers so much more. It really is a sensory overload. Photo Credits: designboom, umma.umich.edu
